What Do the Returns Mean?
Large subsidiaries of IPOs sponsor and establish a limited liability company to hold the securities of a private company. Qualified investors who are familiar with the risks and returns associated with investing in private company securities and can bear the related investment risks, including the risk of losing their investment, can invest in the securities of such an entity. Each of these entities holds equity in only one private company. The vehicle owns the shares of the underlying private company, while the qualified investor holds an interest in the entity.
